LIVE Intro to Motivational Interviewing Course
21th of March 2025, 9am-5pm CET, Zoom
250€
Ever noticed how, in one2one settings, telling people what to do often backfires? That's because motivation for change needs to come from within. While in the sustainability we very desperately need people, the decision makers, to be taking action, we do not seem to be getting the message through. This LIVE online course will teach you how to help people change their minds with a research-backed and proven, human-oriented method, Motivational Interviewing.
Motivational Interviewing is backed by +40 years of research into helping people make changes related to their health, family life, work, and much more.
This is a practical course, mixing theory and exercises and will make you a better, more effective communicator in the one2one settings.
You will learn how to
-
Learn to spot and effectively address mixed feelings about change.
-
Open questions, Affirmations, Reflections, and Summaries - the core skills of effective change conversations.
-
Replace counterproductive advice-giving with proven motivation-building approaches.
-
Practice Partnership, Acceptance, Compassion, and Empowerment in your sustainability work and turn people into agents and not recipients of change.
This course is for you if
